Ines Lukac is a trans woman, activist, and master student at Lund University where she is currently doing research on trans sex workers in Sweden. Her fieldwork is based in Stockholm and it reflects on the experiences of trans persons engaged in sex for compensation, demands by the clients who look specifically for trans sex workers, and on developing strategies that can be useful for trans sex workers both in terms of safety and destigmatization of this group in Sweden. If you are interested to contribute with your experience and help her to include more trans voices in the research, please feel free to contact her via firstname.lastname@example.org. Note that the informants’ anonymity and integrity are highly respected and nothing is included in the research report prior to obtaining the consent from the participants.
BLOGG / Sexual health for the transgender community
It is hard to find good HIV prevention materials for the transgender community, but we are fond of the work done by Terrance Higgins Trust in the United Kingdom and they have made two booklets on sexual health, one for transmen and one for transwomen. Click at the links and you can download it as pdf from there. It is not material for people in sell sex specifically but for the transgender community in general.
